Ballamor Golf Club
About
The18-hole track at Ballamor Golf Club is renowned for its usage of the naturally hilly course in its layout. Brian Ault, the designer, utilized the natural terrain and thick forestry and also added subtle modern and traditional touches to create a unique golfing experience.
The golf course doesn't feature any "signature" hole, but each hole is different from the others and they employ the use of almost every type of golf shot. As a composition, the 18 holes create a course that is both challenging and fun. The course also has five sets of tee boxes. Another distinguishing characteristic of the course is its "go out and stay out" philosophy and layout. The golfer starts near the Clubhouse but doesn't end until the 18th green. This allows for a faster game and there is also a halfway house for refreshments.

Top SJ Course
Ballamor is a gem in South Jersey! The layout is challenging, with a great mix of risk and reward holes. Long enough from the back tee's to challenge low handicappers and long hitters. This is my top pick in EHT area.
Winter Golf
It's all good at Ballamor! Course was in great shape, especially for this time of year. I cannot wait to play it in warmer weather. The staff couldn't have been nicer.
Lots of fun
Great track!! Great visuals!! I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could. Definitely one of the best courses I’ve played. I’ve read about how tough this place is and I shot 89 from the whites. No complaints. The 3 stars for the pace is because were behind a large group playing a scramble format. Greens still had some sand but overall an awesome place. I could never play at the regular rate, but got a good deal and will be looking for another to try it again.
Beautiful
Best course of the year. Layout amazing. Greens, fairways, rough, and tee boxes just great. Played as a 3sone and pace of play fine. Finished in 3 3/4 hours. Just a great place to play
Thank you for the positive review. We are glad you enjoyed your experience at Ballamor and look forward to seeing you again.
Secluded Pine lands
I played the course because Golf Now was able to provide a lower price greens fee. We teed off, (with two other Golf Now subscribers) at 2:00 PM. We finished at 6:00 PM on the dot. For most of the day, the foursome in front of us kept the pace beautifully.
This course is heavily bunkered. We played from the white tees. The forward tees bring more bunkers into play. The blue tees bring more water into play. I am a 15 handicap, and for the day, I had two water balls. The other two players in my group were about the same. If the bunkers don't scoop up your errant tee shots, the water will.
But the design is compelling. There are "outs" on every hole that allow the player to choose a shorter club off the tee, or opt to attempt to power the tee ball over the trouble. Bite off what you can chew. I average 85. Here, I carded 93. My errors were my own. It is an enjoyable design to play.
The course conditions are superb. Somehow, this course inspires people to fix ballmarks and rake traps.
My only neutral comment on the course is that the holes seem to blend into one another without having any signature characteristics. All holes are green, bunkered, well conditioned, bordered by trees and flat. There is not a lot of variety.
This is a well designed, well kept course. At $42 a round, it is a fine value. At the rack rate of $100, I'd think long and hard about traveling here.

Ballamor
Well manicured. Wide fairways. Large true rolling greens.
We went on an off day, for the most part we were alone on the course. If only golf could be played like that all of the time.
Stopped at the grill after our round. Food was good, service likewise. Locker rooms and facilities very clean.
Greens and fairways had been aerated. We were made aware when getting T time a week prior.
We were also told that the snack shack was not open. Understandable given the time of year.
Nice course, nice day, good golf, good refreshments, good facilities. I will go back.
Charlie
Thank you for the positive review and understanding about the snack hut being closed. Sorry you had to play the course during the healing process of the aerification. Unfortunately it is a necessary evil to produce the great conditions that we are accustomed to. We look forward to seeing you again.
Great golf experience
I had a wonderful experience playin Ballamor Golf Club for the first time. The course was in great shape and I would recommend this course to any golfer who enjoys playing nice courses.
Time of play
Based upon the day, Friday in the summer is not the best time to play.
Tee time 3:30 pm. Finished with a twosome in front of us and a foursome
that was like the first time playing the game. Overall hooked up with 3 players that were coming back each summer for a round at this great course.our group had a great time other than the delay. During the whole round not one visit from a ranger to help speed up play.
Overall when you can make a tee time and enjoy a great round of golf.
A great day with my sons
Ive played here at all times of the year other than winter, and each time i enjoy myself thoroughly no matter the score. If I lived at the Jersey shore, Id be a member. One of my sons doesnt play often, and despite errant shots, the ball is usually findable and playable. We had a great day!
Worth a visit
This was a pleasant surprise. Nice course layout and accommodating staff. The clubhouse is fair with more of a Muni feel but this course is worth playing when you're in the area.
Solid
Ballamor is a staple for our summer trip to the shore. Always in great shape, greens are smooth but a touch slow. They have a few areas on fairways and around bunkers that need TLC but absolutely do not impact the the play. We will continue to play this course every year.
The course was nice and in pretty good condition. The pace of play was excellent. The fairways had a lot of divots and the greens were a little fuzzy but those were the only two negatives. I guess thats normal for a busy public course and when the weather is 95 plus degrees for a week straight. Overall i would play here again and recommend this to others especially if you could find a deal.
Nice course near AC
Ballamor was in very good shape on a very hot day. The layout presented some challenges, which caused slow play amongst the few groups ahead of us. There was, however, trees near the tees to provide shade and plenty drinking water to provide relief while waiting. The clubhouse staff were friendly and accommodating...getting us out 40 minutes ahead of our tee time (more time at the casino). The rangers on the course were helpful in trying to speed the pace of play. Locker room included showers and towels that were welcome on such a hot day. Would definitely return, especially with a GolfNow Hot Deal.
We are glad you enjoyed the course. We look forward to seeing you again!
