Blue Heron Pines Golf Club
About
The Blue Heron Pines Golf Club consists of two award-winning courses called the East and the West. Located 15 minutes outside of Atlantic City, these public golf courses provide a challenging game and have been touted by many New Jersey publications as the best 18-hole course on the Jersey Shore.
Each golf course had a different designer so they do have some differences. The West Course is relatively flat with narrow fairways and fast greens. Water hazards also come into play on seven holes. The East Course on the other hand features wide fairways and difficult bunkers. The East Course also follows a links-style layout and is meant to be played fast and firm. For those who want to play the courses but aren't at the top of their game yet, the club offers golf instruction.

Aerated
Greens and Fairways are rated 2 days ago and no notification given. It will be beautiful in a few weeks but not yesterday
Better Shape in beginning of season
I played this course on Memorial Day weekend and it was in fantastic shape. I was very excited to play again in Labor Day weekend but overall the course was not in great shape at all. It was not worth the money this time around she hitting off of dirt, dead grass, and weeds. I know courses take a toll throughout the season but it was almost unplayable.
Just a good golf day
Played her twice and both times just a really enjoyable round. Starts with service. Besides the guys upfront being always welcoming, I sliced one boarder tree line right on 8 and the ranger was looking for my ball when I drove up to find it. I actually ended up finding it even down the head start, but that’s irrelevant.
Solid course
In very good condition. Several work crews cleaning up trees today. Respectful and aware of the golfers. Greens were slow so that was a bit annoying. But everything else was in good condition. Staff was very helpful and attentive.
Jaws always delivers nice experience at reasonable price
Very nice day out on course
In very good shape although greens were slow due to heavy rain prior day
Course was in very good shape except for the aerated greens which are a necessity.
Getting better as Work is in progress ..
Laurel view
Played on December 26th 9am. Two days after snow and heavy rain. The wind is hauling as regular. The course was wet but in great shape for winter condition for CT.
Tony Roberto is the man in charge, PGA pro who’s given the task to rescue this degrading course. He is taken, still taking care over grown trees and roots which has caused damage to the fairways and green. They also had provide unnecessary shade to the greens. There is plenty of urgent work completed. But Tony has long path including renovating the club house. The new white sand in traps are in, the grass growing looks healthier and the course has been in better shape then in 10 years. The only part is the wood chips are spread out some courses but that’s understandable when course is getting over hauled The local golfers I played with, are already singing praise. The course design is interesting with elevation changes playing through ledges and hills. Elevation changes makes 160y plays to 190y and then hauling wind that affects the course.. all part of great design. Wind really affect Hole 6, 7, 9, 16, 17 and 18. 7 and 9 reminded me old course which shares greens. Another great move was taking down trees on 18th to risk reward 300yard dog leg left. Lot of work has been performed and lot more work is cut out for Tony. This time he has resources to make right renovation by summer 2022 to a completely new course. I think Tony is the right person to take on this challenge. I am very excited to play renovated course in summer of 2022.
