Pomona Golf Course

Pomona, New Jersey | 9 holes | Executive | Par: 34 | 2426 yards

The Pomona Golf Course is a nine-hole, public course nestled in the wilderness of Southern New Jersey. The flat, wide course is geared more towards beginners so experienced golfers might not get much besides light practice on this course.

Pomona Golf Course is also located minutes away from casinos and entertainment. The course plays to a par of 32 with 2,426 yards at the longest tees. Detailed directions are needed since the golf course is somewhat hard to find if you are not familiar with the area since there are no signs of how to get there along the roads. Here we go! Brother-in-law calls, he's teaching his son to golf. Wants me to bring my son along - family fun day. Somehow we wind up with his 3 brothers. Beautiful day. a threesome and a foursome. Tee off, foursome first. They clear, threesome tees off. Foursome pulls up to tee. I invite them to play through. Now, lets see what happens next...
Out comes George, the manager(?), says to me, try not to hold anyone up. I inform him we invited people to play through. Keep in mind, all we have done is tee off on first hole. George goes ahead to foursome and they come back shaking their heads. He kicked us off the course!!
To this day, we don't know why. George implied he didn't want people to wait. Other than the other foursome there was nobody else there!
Played Green Tree. Great time there. Staff excellent. Price about the same. Save yourself some hassle and avoid this backwoods, inbred shithole.

First time playing here with my wife. Very nice course, my wife hasn't been playing long and she was very happy with the layout. I just had back surgery and can't play a full 18 yet . I really enjoyed the course it's a nice length if you want to walk and you can't beat the rates. The greens could use a little work but overall nice. Oh, also had a great lunch when we finished our round. Will be back

Golf is played from 100 years out. Ask any pro and they will tell you if you want to improve you score work on your short game. Well this is a Great place to improve ones game. Highly maintained tight small greens and narrow fairways. Pomona golf is a great place to enjoy golf the way it was meant to be played. Relaxed Friendly Helpful Staff great food nice updated clubhouse a real home feeling. From the time you walk in to the time you finish your day Pomona Golf is a wonderful fun time. If you play the game to improve have fun and relax be social than Pomona Golf is Great place to play.
