McCullough's Emerald Golf Links
About
The golf course at McCullough's Emerald Golf Links is an 18-hole, public course that is situated within minutes of Atlantic City. Designer, Stephen Kay decided to pay tribute to famous European golf courses such as St. Andrew's in his design. The European influences are reflected in the open fairways, tricky strong winds, and undulating greens. The golf course also boasts the region's only 100-feet elevation changes.
McCullough's Emerald Golf Links' signature hole is the seventh; it is also the course's most unique. The hole features hazards like large bunkers and wide, rolling fairways. Water hazards also come into play on five holes. The acclaimed golf course is challenging but it does provide a truly unique golfing experience.

Always a good time
I have always had a good round at McCullough's. From Tyler inside working the pro shop to the rangers on the course, I've only been treated like a valued member. Thank you,
Jon
Great place
Everything is perfect on this course even after all the rain or bad weather it stays amazing
Best greens around
Had a deal for $29, so had to play it on a beautiful day. 3 1/2 hour round. No hold ups and the course was in great shape. The greens were absolutely perfect! The course can be had if playing great, but will exaggerate your miscues. Everyone had a great time even though we did not play that well I highly recommend the course
These greens...
...are my favorite public course greens in NJ. Lots of undulations. Otherwise the conditions were not good in the fairways, maybe because of the weather.
McCullough’s
Was very excited to play here finally. The course was in amazing shape, fairways were great, rough was in good shape, greens rolled very true with lots of undulation. Not the easiest course you will play, it has blind tee shots and elevated tee boxes. If it’s a hot sunny day bring a sun protection because there is barely any trees on the course. I will be coming back here very soon.
Nice Round
Round on 8/3/18 was good, overall. Course is in good condition, staff friendly and helpful. Went out as a twosome. Front nine in an hour and a half. Back nine three hours. 4 1/2 not a bad overall pace of lay, but could have used more help from the ranger on back nine.
Great Course/Value
First time playing EM, won’t be the last! I enjoyed everything about my round. I signed up as a single the night before- got a great deal- and was paired up with two other singles. All three of us different ages and handicaps but we all agreed, we’d certainly be back! The layout is challenging, with multiple blind tee shots (signs to warn you of trouble and what to aim for). I was especially impressed by the greens- really good shape and nice challenging speeds. Two of us had played other local courses this week (one was double the price, but worth half the value of EM). We both liked EM BEST!
Great condition
Having played the course in previous years we were quite impressed on the course condition. Great value for the price.
Neat corse
Course was in excellent shape nice value
Challenging layout to all handicaps ! I will be back
Beautiful on a Fun and Challenging Course
Course is in great shape. Greens were holding, running true and well maintained. Beautiful day and played well. Pot bunkers were fresh with sand and played fairly. Only negative of the day were the marshalls who appeared to have an agenda and were hovering around greens and tees. I was with a threesome who were always within a shot of group ahead, who also played well. Marshalls hung around with serious look on their face, although they said nothing. " Lighten' up Francis!"
Solid Value for a Great course
I've played McCoullough's every year for the past 12 years. Course is in great shape, a few dead spots on the greens from a fertilizer, but other than that well worth the $45 fee for golfing. Course was packed but moved consistently considering the volume of players on the course ( about 4.50 hours ) for the round on jammed Friday afternoon. Fairways and bunkers were in very good shape.
Great course, Great value
I love this course, links style tougher than it looks but not unfair. Greens are in great shape , fast and true. Best value at the beach.
Definitely should be in your rotation.
Home of the 6 hour round
Been playing here for years, it is clear that making money is their only concerns these days. The course is in good shape but they sell WAY too many tee times. Played a 6 hour round on Sunday and I was 1/2 of a twosome. No ranger out there to speed things up and with a tee time every 10 mins, it becomes unplayable. Was not able to walk up to the tee box and hit once all day. Average wait of 10-15 mins every hole, will not be back until they figure out a way to not have 6 hour rounds
Friendly atmosphere
Great value
Very nice conditions
Good rangers staying on too of things
Will play again!
