McCullough's Emerald Golf Links
About
The golf course at McCullough's Emerald Golf Links is an 18-hole, public course that is situated within minutes of Atlantic City. Designer, Stephen Kay decided to pay tribute to famous European golf courses such as St. Andrew's in his design. The European influences are reflected in the open fairways, tricky strong winds, and undulating greens. The golf course also boasts the region's only 100-feet elevation changes.
McCullough's Emerald Golf Links' signature hole is the seventh; it is also the course's most unique. The hole features hazards like large bunkers and wide, rolling fairways. Water hazards also come into play on five holes. The acclaimed golf course is challenging but it does provide a truly unique golfing experience.

A good first nine plus
Played recently in July 2019 for the first time. We were happy with front nine but back nine was too gimmicky as it is built over an old land fill.
Bar and clubhouse were nice.
Will not be back as there are too many other nicer courses in south Jersey.
Great Surprising Par 4's and Elevations!
At times it was great to look around and remind myself I was in Egg Harbor, NJ., This is a course that you will want to visit annually to get a feel for history and authentic golf. Wind, elevations and clever hazards keep you thinking and charging towards the well kept greeens. You feel welcomed from check-in to the 19th hole.
Take the time to play these links you wont be disappointed!
Slow and pretty obnoxious customer service
1. Booked my tee time through Golfnow got a call a day or so before where they informed me that they “had” to move my tee time due to high demand (found out I got bumped for members)
2. No range
3. Ranger came out on the one hole my group of 20+ hackers (who the course paired me with) had fallen behind 1/2 a hole. We picked up speed and waited 15 minutes to tee of on the next hole
The cool thing is that all 18 holes are replicas of Irish golf holes like Waterville etc but for Pete’s sake NJ or not be more customer focused.
Excellent condition
Had a 605 tee time this morning. They got us right out. The round was a amazing 3 hrs 30 minutes. The greens was in excellent condition and fast. The fairways again in great condition. I definitely would recommend this course.
Great price great time to play
Teed off at 6:15 two days in a row back on the beach by 11 am perfect time to play and course conditions were best I’ve seen at this course. Fast greens even through the early morning dew.
Already booked a second visit
We loved the course layout, the challenging elevations, the conditions of everything, the friendly service. We’re playing again there tomorrow.
Saturday golf
Great course, pace of play was really slow. Allowing bachelor parties to play 11 to a hole sucks. 5.5 hour round.
Good Links Course
First time playing course, and found it in very good condition. Fairways great, greens true. Biggest problem is not knowing the course. Lots of blind shots, and undulating greens. And VERY WINDY today, so that did not help. As expected in a links course, lots of hills, no trees, so wind played a big part.
Greens we're very nice, smooth and rolled true.
There were a number of blind shots coupled with the fact we never played the course made it tougher. was friendly and helpful however the rangers did nothing to speed up play. There were 2 foursomes in front of us who were together and 3 holes behind the rest of the field. It was ungodly slow and no one was willing to step up and move things along. In my humble opinion, there's no place in golf for a 5 hour round on a Sunday afternoon.
like it more
I have played here before but each time I play it the more I like it. It's a fun course to play and it's not pushover. This day the wind was up which really required concentration. The course overall was in very good condition but the greens were excellent. A smooth fast green is the easiest kind of green to putt on. Just pick a line and get the ball moving. With the wind today it could have been a round of golf in Ireland with rain early and sun later.
Prestine
I have played this course about a dozen times in the last 5 years, and have always enjoyed it. With that being said, I have never seen it in such incredible shape. There is no course in the area in better shape than this one, including the high priced ones. The greens are beautiful and so so smooth. I can't believe how far the course has come.
Great Condition
Best condition of all the courses in the area. Fair course for all levels. Greens true and quick. Fairways fantastic.
Fun time
Don’t usually play this course because of how they do their rates (like a hotel, charge more for busier times/days instead of consistent rates for days/times). That aside, It’s a challenging course that even beginners can have fun playing. Course was a little soggy from rain two days prior (was cart paths only). Still was in pretty good condition. Playing partner and I were able to keep a good pace. We didn’t run up on anyone or have anyone in our heels. Staff was friendly and helpful.
